Comments on "An unstable plant with no poles"

چکیده
In the above paper, it was shown by way of an example that there exist bounded-input–bounded-output (BIBO) unstable linear systems whose transfer functions are analytic in the finite plane. We note that this result could easily be shown by using some examples already present in the literature.

Achievable performance of multivariable systems with unstable zeros and poles
This paper examines the fundamental limitations imposed by unstable (right half plane; RHP) zeros and poles in multivariable feedback systems. We generalize previously known controller-independent lower bounds on the H1norm of closed-loop transfer functions WXV , where X is input or output sensitivity or complementary sensitivity. The weights W and V may be unstable and non-minimum phase and ma...
متن کاملOn Standard H∞ Control Problems for Systems with Infinitely many Unstable Poles
In this paper, H∞ control for a class of linear time invariant systems with infinitely many unstable poles is considered. An example of such a plant is a high gain system with delayed feedback. We formulate the problem via a generalized plant which consists of a rational transfer matrix and the inverse of a scalar (possibly irrational) inner function. It is shown that the problem can be separat...
متن کاملRepeated Poles in Feedback over a Class of Signal-to-Noise Ratio Constrained Channels
In the present paper we obtain a closed form expression for the squared H⊥ 2 norm of a partial fraction expansion with repeated unstable poles. We also obtain a closed form expression for the squared H2 norm of a partial fraction expansion with repeated stable poles. As an application we use the H⊥ 2 result to extend the closed form solution of the discretetime linear time invariant (LTI) signa...
متن کاملOptimal Tracking Performance of Control Systems with Two-Channel Constraints
This paper focuses on the tracking performance limitation for a class of networked control systems(NCSs) with two-channel constraints. In communication channels, we consider bandwidth, energy constraints and additive colored Gaussian noise(ACGN) simultaneously. In plant, non-minimal zeros and unstable poles are considered; multi-repeated zeros and poles are also applicable. To obtain the optima...
متن کاملARX modeling of unstable Box-Jenkins models
High-order ARX models can be used to approximate a quite general class of linear systems in a parametric model structure, and wellestablished methods can then be used to retrieve the true plant and noise models from the ARX polynomials. However, this commonly used approach is only valid when the plant is stable or if the unstable poles are shared with the true noise model. In this contribution,...
